Work created during ILM Workshop with friends from all other ILM Art departments around the world. A nostalgic 'come back' to the world of Waterworld and its post-apocalyptic vibes.

Workshop run by Pedro Blanco Villar from the London branch. Great fun and opportunity to come back to this movie, sadly not succeeding at the box office at the time. In my opinion - undeservedly, the movie is great!

The model was created in Blender, rendering passes were also created using Cycles, comped in Nuke and Photoshop. I did run some Nano Banana passes on the raw render and used sections of the generation as textures on the selected areas. I wanted to stay in full creative control so its impact is rather minimal but allowed me to speed the process up.
